The Global Markets Meltdown What Will Survive In This Decade by Bradford Richdale

As we see the global markets meltdown it seems logical to ask what businesses will prevail?

While the pundits worldwide weigh in it seems obvious to me that basic necessities will win as they always do.  Food, water, shelter, energy, oil, gas, and medical are the essentials. I think other businesses will round out the second tier, security, weapons, ammo, transportation and internet/entertainment services.

Medical is the one that ranks right up there with food, and water. When you really look at the essentials you have to consider that survival of a human being is tantamount in the plethora of choices of where to spend one's money.

Now that the United States has been through a credit downgrade I can see that the survival of ones self will be of utmost priority. Soon it will be official we will no longer be the world's reserve currency.  While that will change things it will not change the fundamental needs of a human being.  History never repeats itself but it comes close.

The medical industry will remain strong as just like water and food one either gets medical attention or in many cases, dies.
